Mitchell Ammons Walters
hails from Jackson, Mississippi. As a child, she was surrounded by creative people. Always in awe of her grandmother, a watercolor artist and opera singer, and her father, an attorney with incredible drawing skills, Mitchell developed a love for the arts.
During her senior year of college, Mitchell spent a semester in Florence, Italy, and learned to create fashion sketches. She was hooked. After graduating from the University of Mississippi with a degree in Journalism, Mitchell moved to New York City to pursue a career in fashion with Calvin Klein Collection. She later became the Director of Marketing at The Washington Design Center in Washington, DC. It was easy to constantly be inspired by the beautiful clothing and interiors she worked with on a daily basis.
Mitchell now resides in Mountain Brook, Alabama, with her husband, Matthew, and three children. Mitchell returned to her roots and began painting and sketching as a creative outlet. To her delight, she began selling pieces off of her easel to friends and family members. Now, over two years later, Mitchell is grateful to be painting daily and sharing her pieces with clients around the world.
Mitchell is constantly inspired by nature, her faith and fashion design. She hopes to evoke emotion and movement in each and every painting. Welcome to Mitchell Fine Art.
